    The thing wiht cilinders is, you get what you pay for.ย  To coat an old cilinder with Nicasil cost minimum 200 a 250 euro,s but can cost as much as 900 euro,s.( It come,s in 0,1 to 0,5mm)
    I know people that pay โ‚ฌ1600,- for a Kreidler cilinder or more. And a aditional 300,- fore the tuning.
    That someting looks good, doesn,t alway,s meen that it is.
    Im not so familiar wich schooter cilinders, but i would advise you to go to a scooter dragrace event and ask e aboud the best cilinders to buy.

    The cilinder is inportent, but if I wanted to go fast I would investย  money in an good exhaust too.

    Aah no, it was a response on ritze’s take on Malossi. I know your initial choice was between a 2fast and stage6 R/T.

    Today there are a lot of choices when it comes to cylinders. All but to new for my taste since i had personal experiences with older cylinders. At the time it was mostly Malossi or Polini and still they make good, fast and reliable cylinders. I would not say go for a Malossi, but what is your goal eventually?

    Goal, I don’t know.. I like to build stuff and thats probably the main goal.. Hell, I remember when I was 15 and immortal (atleast I thought i was), even then a 43mm+13mm felt like a death wish on a ciao when peaking speed :D, and now 18 years later I don’t think this ahve changed, It might even have gotten worse ๐Ÿ˜€

    I have been looking at Roost, LMR, Nini GP, LP, 2fast, Polini P.R.E but still haven’t made up my mind.
    I have even played with the tought of maybe redesign so that I geet water connection in the cylidner base like the Piaggio engines, then I’ll be able to adapt flange mounted cylinders.
    But probably I’ll just go with Minarelli design and don’t make things that advanced.

    @zevenenergie, Next step is to testfit crankshaft, membraan, intake, carb ignition and so on, to make sure there are no collisions (collisions in both parts and my brain)..

    The step after that is to get me a cylinderkit so that I can make sure the cylinder fits with that thing pointing out in front of the membraan and also make sure I get correct squish and that the bore in the carter is sufficent for the cylinder to slide in.

    2fast, roost, 2fast, roost.. I think I might need to toss a coin to decide..

    Make it a 2fast ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  and keep hitting us with pictures of the test fitting of the crankshaft, membraan, intake, carb ignition and so on.

    Cylinder have been ordered, it will be 2 weeks before I get it… It will be tuned before it leaves the shop ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

    Anyway, I started to test fit some parts, so far so good! There are 1 thing I noticed so far and it’s the angle of carburator which is too steep.. This intake is a Top performance for AM6.. The rubber for the same type intake but for horizontal Minarelli is more angular, I will order it today and hopefully It will straighten upp the carburator so much that the bowl will be withing 20 degrees.

    Oh my! This looks so good. Show us some pics in the Ciao if possible.

    Isn’t the carb on too much angle? Or will it lean more backwards?
