.-{2F4OV}-.You’d change your standard sprockets for the malossi race sprockets (1:9). Your pressure spring also needs to be adjusted. Probably to yellow or maybe even red (strongest). I will use red.
24mm will be just fine
I don’t know what you mean with: Papers from the engine? What papers?
2 oktober 2007 om 21:04 #145506You have to send a e-mail to JMPB & they deliver the calibrata for 30mm.
At the movie,I’am driving with a 21mm carburettor.2 oktober 2007 om 21:06 #145507Papers from the engine = Cilindermap/Poortmap in Dutch.

.-{2F4OV}-.I can’t give you the portmapping. Because the cylinder is somewhere else. Maybe in the weekend. But I’m very busy;)
But there where no papers with the engine. Only papers for the ignition.
This is a Pressurespring

.-{2F4OV}-.That carb will be just fine for your Simonini Engine. It’s also a D-slide so this will improve your trottle-response
13 oktober 2007 om 07:21 #145517@.-{2F4OV}-.
Thank you for your answer!21 november 2007 om 22:10 #144670have any of you using the simonini engine and kit had problems with your clutch housing shattering?
my friend had the simonini on his si and after some time the clutch housing on the rear wheel exploded, cutting his leg. anyone else every have this problem?21 november 2007 om 22:11 #144672Variomatic clutch you mean ?
Some guys also had there back variomatic exploded, this is because of the shell which can have spores in it so it can break easily.
Injuries were bad ?
21 november 2007 om 22:13 #144673yeah, variator clutch
he got a pretty good cut on his leg, nothing serious.
he had a friend machine an aluminum band to press around the clutch and it solved the problem
22 november 2007 om 00:12 #144674This is why simonini sells the steel clutch. Unfortunately there haven’t been steel variator clutch houses for sale until now(sprocatti sells it now, although i haven’t seen a price and the fellers haven’t returned my email either).
I feared to encounter the same problem, now that i know about your friend it’s kind of confirmed for me that it’s a serious risk.
Did he use malossi sprockets?
22 november 2007 om 05:38 #144675he does not have the malossi sprockets.
i was told by an engineering friend that a metal band or two around the clutch housing, something like a hose clamp, would keep things together. the housing will probably still crack eventually, but be less likely to explode everywhere.22 november 2007 om 08:36 #144676
.-{2F4OV}-.I think the clutch explodes because there are minor cracks on the surface on microscopic scale;) It even didn’t explode with the sprocatti kit! You can see movies on the internet, where a Sprocatti Si drives with standard variomatic clutch. But if Sprocatti really is making a new clutch for variomatic it must be for some reason. Probably the standard clutch isn’t strong enough after all;)
