Hey, i wonder if there are any adapters or ”needlelayers” to fit a 10pin piston on my 12pin eurocilindro crankshaft.
Maybe something like this:

Cause all deps cylinders i find come with a 10pin piston..27 december 2010 om 06:07 #145982There are, only dont ask me wehre to buy them.
Sorry.27 december 2010 om 10:34 #145983
Daffy#46Could you tell me the measures?
Then i will check if i can get those Needlelayers 😉
Edit: I’ve Checked it with these measures:
Asgap: 10mm
Outside: 12mmI can’t get those Needlelayers, and i think it will be hard to find those, because 1mm on each side is not much. I only can get with an Outside Measure of 14mm, thats 2mm on each side.
27 december 2010 om 13:05 #145985For a Malossi crank you need to search for 15x15x10 mm.
The standard needlelayers for a P12 crank are 15x15x12 mm.
28 december 2010 om 22:33 #145984Jarco: Well it’s good to know! thx 🙂
Daffy#46: It’s 14,9mm on the outside (eurocilindro crank), and it should be 10 on the inside. Dont know the lenght yet tho, will measure tommorow.
MHR: Great, i take it that it should be the same on eurocilindro? my dad measured it to be 14,9 but either he measured wrong or the layer is supposed to get pressed a bit i guess? Will go ahead and search for 15x15x10 then.
Thanks a lot!29 december 2010 om 06:07 #145988Please let us know if you find one, there are more people looking for these needlelayers.
29 december 2010 om 09:36 #145989I’ve also been looking around to find me a needle bearing of this size. I’ve even been to two specialists (whole suppliers) but they also couldn’t find anything of these measurements in the books.
The biggest I’ve been able to find was 10 X 14,5 X 15.I’m also still looking but in the meantime I had one of these made in 10 X 15 X 15. It is just as strong and capable of high revs, if made of the right material.
I came, I saw, and I forgot what I was doing...29 december 2010 om 10:59 #145949Tonni :

Then it’s 10 inside, 14,5 outside and 15 on the wide?
Would those work? thought since it doesnt have the needles.
29 december 2010 om 11:29 #145990This works just like the old type crankshaft from Piaggio. It works just fine if the measurements of the bearing are right and the material is suited for the purpose.
The one on the picture is not the right one, it’s just for the illustration. I’ve had mine ‘custom made’.I came, I saw, and I forgot what I was doing...29 december 2010 om 19:24 #145991Tonni :

29 december 2010 om 19:25 #145992I believe bronze is the right stuff.
29 december 2010 om 22:17 #145993Edjuh: Yeah i guess it could work 🙂
Olliegasselt: That fit ciao? I posted a stage6 bearing in the first post, but it doesnt fit 🙁

Didn’t understand to much, google translate isn’t that accurate 🙁 But if i understood some right, then he made a adapater so you could use a normal 10 pin, like 2 parts instead of 1? too bad i can’t understand the instructions
1 januari 2011 om 17:30 #145240Its the same as the one they made for Tonni, only this is more like a how to to do it yourself.
The google translations is shitty indeed, but seeing the pictures i cant imagine its realy difficult to do. ( with the right tools. ) -
