Hy guys, here I am..
I ‘ve just decided to show you some pictures of my last work.
The base I choose , was a piaggio Si, than I decided to improve it in a better way modifing the suspensions, frame, and engine of course.
This project was born with the aim of an oly circuit ride. So…I don’t use it to go in a supermarket everyday.:lolThose are the components:
simonini 83cc cylinder lightly modified by me in the exhaust port and transfers.
malossi crank case with front inlet manifold (hand made).
sprocatti crank wheel with 90mm conrod for a 46 stroke.
simonini clutch modyfied for a much more extended range of power.
90 or 75 pulleys , depends on situation in the track.
19 dellorto and a flywheel milled.here some photos, I just post it gradually to give an idea of the progress of works.
Here I’ve scratched all the frame to weld the central roll bar and cut the tail.
than I’ve cut out the buddy seat “wings” and re-welded to close the holes with an ending grinding.
21 april 2011 om 18:16 #486107wasn’t it a better idea to place de tube al little bit lower, for te strength of the frame. And i like to see more pictures of the engine, good luck with youre project.
21 april 2011 om 18:20 #486108the fact was that in the space below the roll, I’ll place the fuel thank.
I choose to weld the roll in that position cuz it’s the most sollecitated area, also due to the front
heavy forks with the disk brake, that I’ve mounted.21 april 2011 om 18:21 #486109Always nice to see some italian fellas arround here 😉
21 april 2011 om 18:31 #486110thank you Hansieb

Keep it coming!
21 april 2011 om 19:14 #486113Damn, thats some nice crackcase u got there.
21 april 2011 om 21:09 #486118Hell yeah! Kick RV. I know some dutch guys are falling down from amazement.
I like to see how your cylinder is working with these carters and how you made it fit?22 april 2011 om 15:00 #486134Hy martino!
Well.. to fit the cylinder I had to bore the carter up to ( if I remember well ) 51.4mm or something around it.
Anyway , I’ve closed the cick starter hole with an alu cylinder, heated and pressed into, cuz I don’t have the kick starter.I’ve also enlarged the crank cases area to make it host the sprocatti crankshaft, due to the bigger conrod.
I’ll post some pictures on Thuesday.
22 april 2011 om 15:05 #486135Wow a Malossi Reed Valve Kick engine, nice one
22 april 2011 om 16:04 #486138Nice that you made a perso mate with also a very nice setup
Im very curious what a simo 48mm will do on a reedvalve engine.22 april 2011 om 21:43 #48614022 april 2011 om 23:52 #486147piontek :
I’ve made with a 3mm steelThis will put alot of weight to the bike, could you not better made it from aluminium?
23 april 2011 om 01:29 #486150And the amazement continuous! Why not using an original Malossi RV engine instead of the kick-version, since you don’t use it anyway? Sell this kick-engine for some good money here in Holland. Were all type of kick cases are more popular then Italy itself.
I like your works on the buddy.
