this is my new project where I want to realize a 3-Gear Bravo.
For that bought a 2-Gear Bravo in very bad condition but with papers and for little money.
today I started with disassembly to give it a new painting
there are not much parts left for painting, nice thing such a Bravo. 😀
tomorrow I will grind the frame, and maybe also painting

Seems like someone has been buying the stuff from ebay haha :)!
12 april 2014 om 18:44 #283051Never knew there were 3 speed parts available for Piaggio Vespa. I did know there were 2 speeds. Great work you’ve put in so far. The Bravo is a great base to work on. I will follow the progress
12 april 2014 om 19:30 #283052Looks good!
My 3-speed gearbox got different gears in it. :!, The gears on the main axle in my 3-speed are smaller.
So it looks like there are different 3-speeds just like the 25 and 45kn/h 2-speeds.
Has yours got a neutral?
12 april 2014 om 20:58 #283053yes, it has neutral between 1st and 2nd gear.
What ratio does your 3-speed gearbox have in the 3 gears?
Mine is about:
>1st- 14,5:1
>2nd- 10:1
>3rd- 7,5:113 april 2014 om 06:45 #274787Mine does not have a neutral. I don’t remember the amount of tooth on the gears but the ratio’s are:
1st 12.5:1
2nd 9.5:1
3rd 6.5:113 april 2014 om 08:25 #283024this Italien Moped builders. 😀
They are building a hand full of 3-speed gearboxes, and this in addition with ratio variants.
So it looks that yours is a little longer then the one I’ve build.
How is it drivable with a standard engine, or are you runing it with a tuned engine?13 april 2014 om 09:19 #274788Nice project.
I hope it will run smooth.13 april 2014 om 09:28 #274789Piet30 :

Haw is it drivable with a standard engine, or are you runing it with a tuned engine?I haven’t driven with this gearbox yet. The treads in the topplate are completely gone. I just boughtt a second hand plate from Billy and still need to mount it.
Last month i made a new subframe for the vespa Si so that the 2/3 speed fits in there.
13 april 2014 om 11:52 #283054Cool, is that a yellow wheel?
